Hi there! I’m Amy, Portland Family Photographer who loves creating simple and meaningful artwork. I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself so you can get to know the person helping you create your family’s most memorable heirlooms.
Among many things, I’m inspired by the beautiful imperfections of analog film. I feel like it represents a bit of real life in that way. The creamy tones and film grain are magical and breath a bit of authenticity into the images I create for you.
When I’m not loading film or planning out your session, you can find me with a chai in my hand and spending quality time with my nearest and dearest. I consider myself a social introvert…so while I love getting to be around people, I cherish quiet alone time that gives me time to reflect on life, discover what inspires me, and leaves me feeling recharged and ready to face the world.
One of my greatest joys is knowing that the images and art I create with you will become cherished heirlooms. There’s something magical knowing that something I brought to life will outlast any other temporary joys (like a new car, phone, or piece of furniture that will eventually need to be replaced). I love the idea of creating a legacy and it’s an honor to help you document yours.
There’s a lot I could say, but I’ll leave you with a few fun facts about me:
- Fall is my favorite season
- If I could move anywhere in the world, I would choose Ireland in a heartbeat
- I can wiggle my ears and eyes (both at the same time if I really focus)
- I could eat curry every day and never get sick of it
- Like a born and raised Oregonian, listening to the rain on my window brings me incredible peace
If there’s anything you want to know, just ask! :)
If you’re looking for a custom portrait experience, I’d love to help you create exactly what you’re envisioning. I promise to help you every step of the way and get you the artwork you’ve always dreamed of so your memories are preserved for the long-haul. Please reach out if you’d like me to help you document this season for you. I’d love to work with you!
