This might be controversial… but as much as I love a good sunset, I think I enjoy sunrise even more. Case in point, this sunrise river session was made of magic.

I understand that waking up early and getting kids out the door might not be your first choice when it comes to scheduling a portrait session, but I promise the benefits are worth it. And that’s coming from someone who lovesss her sleep!

Here’s are some reasons why I love early morning sessions:

– the morning light is divine
– no crowds at popular locations
– the birds will serenade us
– you can brunch after
– kids can keep their normal bedtime routines
– little ones are typically happier in the morning (aka more cooperative)
